Exposure to low angle or primarily forested terrain. Some forest openings may involve the runout zones of infrequent avalanches. Many options to reduce or eliminate exposure.
Exposure to well defined avalanche paths, starting zones or terrain traps; options exist to reduce or eliminate exposure with careful route finding.
Exposure to multiple overlapping avalanche paths or large expanses of steep, open terrain; multiple avalanche starting zones and terrain traps below; minimal options to reduce exposure.

TrainingClick on the zone in the viewer. Depending on the available cartographic information, zones are classified into three categories, each symbolised by a specific colour. The menu shows what information each category contains.
One or more tracks can be loaded and managed from the pop-up menu.
The 3D viewer performs best on desktop. On tablet or mobile, 2D view is recommended.
Various layers can be enabled: ATES and typical avalanche paths for classified zones, orientation and altitude ranges, slope layers, and ICGC avalanche cartography. Zones may contain one, two or three layers depending on available data. Layer visibility can be managed in the viewer menu.
